From the
Treatment Plan Module
while ‘Current’ or default is highlighted, hold the "Ctrl" key on the keyboard and click on the desired treatment(s) that is to be attached to the Preauthorization form. Consecutive treatments can be dragged by left button of the mouse.
After the procedures have been selected, click on the "PreAuthorization" button at the top.
The "Select Insurance Plan" dialog will open.
Click on the desired insurance plan.
Click on the relationship to subscriber and click on the "OK" button.
The "Edit Preauthorization" dialog will open.
To print now, click on the "Print" button.
To print later in one batch, click on the "OK" button.
After the Preauth form has been created, there will be a reference to the Preauth in the upper right of the Treatment Plan dialog.
If the Preauthorization reference is selected, then the treatments attached to the Preauth form will be highlighted in the treatment plan list.
Receive a Preauthorization
When the authorization comes back from the insurance company, go to the
Treatment Plan Module
and locate the reauthorization in the PreAuthorizations window. Doubleclick it to open it.
Click the "By Procedure" button in the upper right. The "Enter Estimates for PreAuth" dialog will open.
Click the "Estimate" cell and enter the insurance estimate from the preauthorization. Then, add any insurance remarks and authorization number from the insurance company in the "Remarks" field.
Check Preauthoriation Status
The status of a preauth can be viewed at any time by checking the PreAuthorizations box in the
Treatment Plan Module
. Preauthorizations will also show on the Outstanding Insurance Claims Report.
